From 1997 to 2003, Chris Cowey brought about a strong resurgence in the Top of the Pops brand. I designed the sets throughout Chris's tenure, including the moves from Elstree to Riverside and then to BBC Television Centre.

At Television Centre, each stage was named after one of the key members of the production team. On the right Chris is standing in front of the stage named after him.

I also designed a number of spinoffs from Top of the Pops, including the star bar - where the celebs hung out - and the spectacular Awards shows at the Sheffield and Manchester arenas.

Sadly in 2006 ToTP was retired, but there have been Christmas specials ever since then, so perhaps the brand is not completely finished. There have even been rumours of a revival.
