In March 2007 Yusuf Islam - the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens - performed his first full come back concert for nearly thirty years. I worked closely with Yusuf and his production team to come up with an islamic inspired setting at the Porchester hall in London. A review by Robin Denselow in the Guardian the following day said “the designers deserve a bonus”. Who am I to disagree.

Yusuf also appeared at the German Echo Awards and was presented with a special award as an ambassador between cultures. Following the success of the Porchester hall concert I was asked to design a similar environment for his performance in Berlin. It was quite a challenge to design a "drop in" traditional looking set into the very contemporary surroundings.
